USA Boxing Announces National Academic Awards

USA Boxing is pleased to launch a new program to honor youth boxers' academic achievement. The USA Boxing National Academic Awards recognize student-boxers who successfully graduate from High School.


The inaugural class of awardees are those student-boxers graduating in spring 2018.


Nominations: Nominations for the Class of 2018 are accepted until May 24.  The attached Nomination Form must be completed in full, and submitted via email by May 24th.


Nominees must meet the following criteria:

Student-boxer must currently be a registered member of USA Boxing

Confirmed estimated graduation from High School in May/June of 2018

Successful completion of short essay questions (Essay Form attached) and submitted by May 24th

Completion of one bout in past two years (confirmed via MatchTracker database) OR demonstrated proficiency in boxing skills (confirmed via assigned coach to be determined and scheduled on case-by-case basis)

All USA Boxing National Academic Awardees will receive an official letter, certificate, and a commemorative book.


Please note student-boxers may self-nominate, or be nominated by another person.  The deadline to submit the Nomination form for Spring 2018 awards is May 24.  Additionally, the student-boxer’s short essays must be completed and emailed by May 24.
