Davidson and Ragan Grab Wins for Team USA on First Day of 2018 Feliks Stamm Tournament

Marcus Davidson (Kansas City, Kan.) and 2017 World Championship silver medalist Duke Ragan (Cincinnati, Ohio) started the 2018 Felkis Stamm Tournament in Warsaw, Poland with unanimous decision victories for Team USA.

Ragan, who is boxing in his first international tournament since his World Championship silver medal, took all five judges cards over Poland’s Marcin Hejosz, while teammate Davidson, who is making his international debut, grabbed his own unanimous decision win over Attila Varga of Switzerland.

Stephen Acosta (Dallas, Texas), Michael Angeletti (Spring, Texas), Guadelupe Gutierrez (Sacramento, Calif.) and Kristyn Juarez  (Los Angles, Calif.) step into the ring tomorrow for the American delegation, along with Ragan.

The American’s are being guided by National Team Assistant Coach Kay Koroma (Colorado Springs, Colo.), and assisted by Tim Back (Cincinnati, Ohio), Jeff Mays (San Antonio, Texas) and Robert Pagan (Brooklyn, N.Y.), with Jess Luscinski (Colorado Springs, Colo.) serving as Team Manager.
