Junior Female High Performance Camp Underway in Colorado Springs

Nine members of USA Boxing’s junior female high performance squad have returned to the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. for a 12 day training camp.

National Junior and Youth Head Coach Augie Sanchez (Las Vegas, Nev.) will be leading the camp, which will consist of numerous workouts from cardio, strength and conditioning, as well as sparring sessions. Joining Coach Sanchez at this camp are Ronald Dove (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Rosario Solis (Irving, Texas).

Seven boxers attending camp came straight from the 2018 National Junior Olympics in Charleston, W.Va., where four walked away as champions, including Gabriela Fundora (Coachella, Calif.), Jesikah Guerra (Rialto, Calif.), Sophia Haroutunian (Mason City, Iowa) and Faith Mendez (Reading, Pa.).
