Bobsled and skeleton World Cup continues in Koenigssee, Germany with races Friday through Sunday

Bobsled and skeleton World Cup continues in Koenigssee, Germany with races Friday through Sunday

KOENIGSSEE, Germany (January 21, 2020) – The World Cup tour returns to Germany with races from January 22-24 in Koenigssee. This is the seventh of eight races on the elite tour, but only the third World Cup stop for the U.S. team.


The race schedule is as follows, with all times listed in local time.

 

Friday

10 a.m.: Women’s skeleton run #

11:30 a.m.: Women’s skeleton run #2

1:30 pm.: Men’s skeleton run #1

3:15 p.m.: Men’s skeleton run #2

 

Saturday

12:15 p.m.: Men’s two-man bobsled run #1

1:45 p.m.: Men’s two-man bobsled run #2

4 p.m.: Women’s monobob run #1

5:30 p.m.: Women’s monobob run #2

 

Sunday

9:30 a.m.: Four-man bobsled run #1

10:55 a.m.: Four-man bobsled run #2

1 p.m.: Two-woman bobsled run #1

2:30 p.m.: Two-woman bobsled run #2

 

Austin Florian (Southington, Conn.) and Austin McCrary (Colleyville, Texas) will represent the U.S. in the men’s competition. In the women’s race, Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) and Kendall Wesenberg (Modesto, Calif.) will be joined by Kelly Curtis (Princeton, N.J.), who led the Americans in the Altenberg, Germany European and Intercontinental Cup competitions earlier this month. 

 

Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.) will race with Kris Horn (Pembroke, Mass.) in Saturday’s two-man bobsled competition, while Adrian Adams (Reidsville, N.C.) will push with Geoff Gadbois (Milton, Vt.). Bascue’s four-man push crew will be Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.), Kyle Wilcox (Tampa, Fla.), and Blaine McConnell (Tacoma, Wash.). Gadbois’s team will be Boone Niederhofer (San Antonio, Texas), Horn, and Adams.

 

Kaillie Humphries (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Elana Meyers Taylor (Douglasville, Ga.) will once again compete in the women’s monobob competition. Lauren Gibbs (Los Angeles, Calif.) has been selected to push with Humphries in the two-woman competition on Sunday, and Sylvia Hoffman (Arlington, Texas) will race with Meyers Taylor.
