2018 U.S. Olympic Bobsled and Skeleton Team Press Conference Schedule

 


PYEONGCHANG, South Korea (Feb. 5)-The 2018 U.S. Olympic Bobsled and Skeleton Team press conferences will take place at the Main Press Center at the Alpensia resort Feb. 8-9 and will feature all 20 athletes named to the team.


The schedule is as follows, with all times listed in local time:


Thursday, Feb 8:

9-10 a.m.: Women’s and Men’s Skeleton in Press Conference Room 2, Jeongseon (72-person room)


Friday, Feb 9:

9-10 a.m.: Women’s Bobsled in Press Conference Room 2, Jeongseon (72-person room)

10-11 a.m.:  Men’s Bobsled in Press Conference Room 1, PyeongChang (220-person room)


Skeleton athletes Matt Antoine (Prairie du Chien, Wis.), John Daly (Smithtown, N.Y.), Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) and Kendall Wesenberg (Modesto, Calif.) will be featured on Thursday morning.


Women’s and men’s bobsled athletes will be available on Friday morning. Women’s athletes Aja Evans (Chicago, Ill.), Lauren Gibbs (Los Angeles, Calif.), Jamie Greubel Poser (Newtown, Pa.) and Elana Meyers Taylor (Douglasville, Ga.) will be first at 9 a.m.


All 12 men’s bobsledders will be available during Friday’s 10 a.m. press conference: Hakeem Abdul-Saboor (Powhatan, Va.), Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.), Nick Cunningham (Monterey, Calif.), Chris Fogt (Alpine, Utah), Chris Kinney (Stockbridge, Ga.), Steve Langton (Melrose, Mass.), Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas), Sam Michener (Gresham, Ore.), Justin Olsen (San Antonio, Texas), Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.), Nathan Weber (Pueblo West, Colo.) and Evan Weinstock (Las Vegas, Nev.).


There will be time available for one-on-one interviews during a breakout session within the one-hour time allotted for the press conference.


The Olympic bobsled and skeleton events are held in a four-heat format over two days of racing with two heats on each day. Men’s skeleton will kick things off Feb. 15-16, followed by women’s skeleton on Feb. 16-17.  The two-man competition will take place Feb. 18-19, while the women’s bobsled competition will take place from Feb. 20-21. The four-man races will conclude the Olympic sliding events from Feb. 24-25.
