PARK CITY, Utah (Nov. 6, 2015)- Ten athletes were named to the 2015-2016 USA Skeleton National Team tonight after points were tallied following the fourth and final selection race in Park City, Utah. Selections began with two competitions in Lake Placid, N.Y. last week and continued on the 2002 Olympic track in Utah this week as athletes battled it out for a coveted spot on the World Cup and Intercontinental Cup tours.

Matt Antoine (Prairie du Chien, Wis.) will be joined by Nathan Crumpton (Colorado Springs, Colo.) on the men’s World Cup tour. Antoine already had a spot solidified on the team after finishing the 2014-2015 season ranked fourth in international rank. Crumpton edged out a competitive field in selection races by 23 points to earn his first World Cup nomination.

Annie O’Shea (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) led the women’s selection races with 775 points to earn her position on the women’s World Cup squad. After winning two of the four competitions, Kendall Wesenberg (Modesto, Calif.) collected 706 points for her first World Cup team berth.

The World Cup tour kicks off Nov. 27-28 in Altenberg, Germany and continues in Germany with races in Winterberg and Koenigssee before the circuit breaks for the holiday. World Cup action returns home with competitions in Lake Placid, N.Y. from Jan. 8-9 and Park City from Jan. 15-16 before moving to Whistler, Canada. Athletes will return to Europe for the final two World Cup races in St. Moritz, Switzerland and a second stop in Koenigssee before concluding with World Championships in Igls, Austria.
