USA Badminton Statement To Membership

This week USA Badminton and The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee reached an agreement on the month's long Section 8 hearing proceedings between our two organizations.

Given the challenges USAB was facing as an organization last year, we understand why the USOPC believed it was necessary to bring this case forward. While it took longer than all of us hoped, we worked hard to address the issues that prompted the USOPC's intervention and firmly believe we are better equipped to meet similar challenges in the future. USAB's current leadership is pleased that the USOPC recognizes the progress that has been made so far and is committed to working with them on an ongoing basis for the benefit of our athletes and the greater badminton community.

Interim CEO Linda French stated, "I am happy that we were able to finally settle this matter.  I would like to thank attorneys Jon Little and Derrick Morgan of Saeed & Little for their stellar legal work on behalf of USA Badminton. Under the leadership of Ben Lee, and now Ken Wong as Chair, our current Board of Directors and awesome volunteers I see a bright future for our athletes and our sport.  I'm thrilled we can now move forward to grow and promote badminton."
