Dear USA Badminton members and parents,

We appreciate the concerns of the badminton community. The health and safety of our membership is a top priority as we continue to monitor the emerging public health concern of the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China.

USA Badminton is actively carefully monitoring developments with respect to the spread of the disease and potential impacts to our community. We continue to follow guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization.

As of today, these CDC states that while the immediate risk of this new virus to the American public is believed to be low at this time, everyone can do their part to help us respond to this emerging public health threat:
For everyone: It’s currently flu and respiratory disease season and CDC recommends getting vaccinated, taking everyday preventive actions to stop the spread of germs, and taking flu antivirals if prescribed.

At this time, unless and until the situation changes, we do not anticipate cancelling any events. We will keep you informed as this situation changes, based on recommendations from the professionals at local and national health agencies.

Sincerely,

Linda French (Interim CEO), USA Badminton
