Individual Athletes Arrive in Kazan for the BWF World Junior Championships 2019

The athletes that are competing in the individual events at the BWF World Junior Championships 2019 have arrived in Kazan, Russia. 

Adrian King-Sun Mar (Saratoga, CA), Emily Han (Fremont, CA), Henry Tang (Fullerton, CA), Jessica Fan (Union City, CA), Joshua Yang (Rowland Heights, CA), Karthik Kalyanasundaram (Sunnyvale, CA), Kodi Tang Lee (Pomona, CA), Kristen Choi (Edison, NJ), Maalveka Ilango (Danville, CA), Sri Kolla (Ashburn, VA), Tammy Xie (Fremont, CA), and Winston Tsai (Pleasanton, CA) join the eight U.S. athletes that competed in the mixed team portion of the championships.

The United States finished in 18th place of 43 teams during the mixed team event. Alexander Zheng (Fremont, CA), Esther Shi (Prairie View, IL), Jacob Zhang (Bellevue, WA), Jessica Wang (San Jose, CA), Joshua Yuan (Foster City, CA), Katelin Ngo (Milpitas, CA), Natalie Chi (Palo Alto, CA), William Hu (Bellevue, WA) competed for the U.S. in the team event.
