REGIONAL BOARD INFORMATION

Regional Boards are responsible for aiding in the development and growth of badminton within the designated states of each region while acting as a liaison between the USA Badminton National Office and USA Badminton tournaments, coaches, clubs, technical officials and athletes. Regional Boards will work closely with USA Badminton staff on regional programming that directly supports USA Badminton’s Strategic Plan.

Regional Boards are run and organized by volunteers who reside in that region and are supported by USA Badminton. The Regional Boards are made up of volunteers who are passionate members of the badminton community. These regional councils direct and administer policies and procedures of USA Badminton at the regional and grassroots level.

The sixth region was formed from the former Region 5 by dividing it into two regions. The new Region 5, or the Southwest Region, is made up of Southern California (all counties south of the San Louis Obispo-Kern-San Bernardino County line) Southern Nevada (Clark County), Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii. Region 6 will now be called the Pacific Region, comprised of Northern California (all counties north of the San Louis Obispo-Kern-San Bernardino County line), Northern Nevada (all of Nevada except Clark County), and Utah.
