Texas becomes the fifth state to will host Junior Nationals in the last five years, following Wisconsin in 2018, California in 2017, Washington in 2016 and Florida in 2015. The prior three Junior Nationals were all held in California.

“USA Badminton’s primary goal is to continue to grow the sport within the United States,” said Jeff Dyrek, USAB CEO. “We’re excited to expand the footprint of the Junior National Championships to the Southwest and Texas, a region of the country where badminton has been steadily growing.”

USAB will be involved with the production of the event this year and will work closely with Visit Frisco and the local badminton community to assist with the planning and execution of the tournament.

USAB will work with Visit Frisco and GET Sports on securing great hotel deals for the event, along with other discounts for local attractions, restaurants, and shopping. More information will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, participants can contact GET Sports at info@gettravel.com or call 888-877-4445 Option 3 with any questions related to hotel accommodations for the event.
