HSBC BWF WORLD TOUR FINALS DRAW

WHAT: Draw for the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals in Guangzhou, China

WHEN: 10.15am – 10 December 2018

WHERE: Hibiscus Room, Level 3, Garden Hotel, 368 Huanshi Dong Lu, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou

The draw for the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals will take place at 10.15am at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou on 10 December 2018.

There will be a press conference at 11.30am following the draw featuring some of the contenders for the season-ending finale.

The following athletes will be in attendance:

Men’s Singles: Shi Yuqi (China)
Women’s Singles: Tai Tzu Ying (Chinese Taipei)
Mixed Doubles: Zhang Siwei & Huang Yaqiong (China)

Women’s Singles: Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand)
Men’s Doubles: Kim Astrup & Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark) Women’s Doubles: Gabriela Stoeva & Stefani Stoeva (Bulgaria)

Media attending the draw are asked to arrive before 10am. There will be a group photo before the draw with all guests. A Chinese-English interpreter will be available for the press conference.

Earlier that morning, a handful of athletes will also be involved in a dim sum cooking class, in the Begonia Room of the Garden Hotel. That media event starts at 9am.

The HSBC BWF World Tour Finals is the signature event of the season for which only the cream of the crop qualifies.

The restructured World Tour has appealed to fans and players alike this year, with higher prize money, greater coverage on television, and spectacular presentation.

Players will be competing for a total prize pool of US$1.5 million.
