BWF Laws and Regulation Changes

Following the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Council Meeting on November 17, 2017, the following decisions were made:

1. Laws of Badminton / Amendments to Regulations
The letter below details the decisions of the Council in relation to Laws of Badminton and Regulations.

2. Trialing Fixed Service Height – March 1, 2018
The BWF Council is looking into the possibility of a fixed service height for the sport. BWF Council has decided that there will be a trial of a fixed service height Law at all BWF Grade 1 (BWF Major Events except Junior Tournaments), BWF Grade 2 Tournaments (Levels 1-6), and Continental Confederation Championships from March 1, 2018 to the end of the year. Grade 3 Tournaments will not test the fixed service height law at this time.
