How Does Miles Krajewski Prep for the Para Badminton World Championships?

Nov. 21, 2017, 3:39 p.m. (ET)

Starting Wednesday, November 22, American Miles Krajewski will be one of 279 players at the 2017 Para-Badminton World Championships in Ulsan, Korea.

Krajewski will be joined in Korea by fellow Americans Richard Alcaraz and Amy Burnett, as he competes in men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

“My primary goal on the court is to limit the number of errors that I have and get out of group play in each event,” said Krajewski.

Between training with coach Pallav Deka and getting my school work done, Krajewski has worked to improve his footwork and technique, as well as his overall strength.

“With this being my first World Championships, I am excited to see how much I have improved since the Ireland tournament,” said Krajewski.

Regardless of how he plays, Krajewski looks to use his competitiveness to propel himself in matches.

“I plan to use everything I can to be as competitive I can against whoever I play,” added Krajewski. “And I look forward to making new friends from across the globe.”
