USAB to Hold Annual Badminton Assembly

Nov. 17, 2017, 6:50 p.m. (ET)

Pursuant to the bylaws USA Badminton will host an annual Badminton Assembly via teleconference on Monday, December 18, at 2 p.m. PT which will last no more than one hour.

All individual members, organizational members and other badminton constituencies are welcomed to join the teleconference and provide input to the USAB Board of Directors on important issues confronting the organization.

The Board will determine the agenda for the assembly, and with CEO, Jeff Dyrek, will provide a report on the “State of USA Badminton” by addressing issues of concern and importance to USAB. Also participating on behalf of USAB will be USAB’s Board of Directors Chairman, David Simon. Those participating on the teleconference will have the opportunity to pose questions to USAB. The annual Badminton Assembly shall be purely advisory and shall have no rulemaking, budgetary, legislative, or other authority.

Future annual assemblies may be held in-person or by conference call. If the assembly is to be held in-person, it will be held in conjunction with either a meeting of the Board of Directors or a major USAB competition. All future Badminton Assemblies will be announced with a minimum of a 30-day notice stating the method and details of the assembly.

Exact details on how to access the teleconference on December 18 will be released closer to the date.
