2019 International Tournament Coach & Team Official Accreditation

This policy applies to the Badminton World Federation sanctioned individual international tournaments. For international team events, USAB reserves the right to set more specific accreditation requirements based on performance and other criteria relevant to that tournament.

Please note this policy may change in the future.

Process
Team coach/official accreditation for 2019 BWF Sanctioned International Tournaments is limited and only open to USA Badminton members who meet the following criteria below.

Eligible Candidates:
- a parent whose child/family member is competing in a tournament

-team official only
- USAB athlete’s coach

 

Requirements:
1. Current USAB members in Good Standing

2. Current Approved Background Check

3. Current Safe Sport Certification (For more information, click HERE)

4. For coaching accreditations: USAB members must be certified coaches

5. Approved applicants must take on any responsibilities requested by USA Badminton including attending team manager meetings and corresponding on behalf of USAB

 

Application for BWF Tournaments not in the USA:

1. USAB athlete must be entered in the BWF Sanctioned International Tournament

2. Email internationalentry.usab@gmail.com with request

                  - must meet requirements before request 

 

Application for BWF Tournaments in the USA:

1. USAB athlete must be entered in the BWF Sanctioned International Tournament

2. Email internationalentry.usab@gmail.com with request

                  - must meet requirements before request 

3. Submit application fee of $35 

                  - fee is non-refundable

 

Deadline & Processing Time

The application must be submitted at least 2 weeks before each tournament’s accreditation deadline. However, for specific BWF events held in the U.S., USAB reserves the right to change the application deadlines.

 

Notice of approval
Once approved the accreditation applicant will be notified by the USAB national office

Important Reminder
1. It is the responsibility of the applicants to read and understand the application requirements.

2. Applicants are responsible to ensure that their USAB membership and background check are current at time of application and throughout the event

3. Each approval expires at the end of a tournament that it has been approved for.
4. The applicant is bound by the USAB and BWF Regulations. An applicant who is penalized by the BWF will be responsible for all fines.
5. An application for accreditation is not a guarantee of approval
6. The applicant coach and/or the U.S. player is responsible for any fees charged related to accreditation.
