2019 12 & Under National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo, - As the summer months draw closer and the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise around the world, the UANA Executive Committee made the early announcement to postpone all events slated for this summer and fall.

Based on this news, USA Artistic Swimming has made the difficult decision to cancel the final phase of the 12 & Under National Team Trials and not select a team this year.

“We have so many talented 12U athletes that I wish had their chance to shine at Trials,” USA Artistic Swimming CEO, Adam Andrasko said. “There is also no doubt that the athletes selected and their coaches would have represented the United States incredibly well. I am sorry they won’t have this opportunity to perform. We will look to host programs that will help these athletes to continue to grow and enjoy our great sport.”

For the 30 12 & Under athletes that made it through to phase three, the National Office is working to provide a training camp option for those 12 & Under athletes. The details of this training camp will be announced when they are finalized, but the camp will be held around mid to late fall.

For the 13-15 athletes, the Comen Cup is still an option for the selected team to attend, and USA Artistic Swimming is continuously monitoring the health of the event and international travel recommendations to make decisions regard this event.

More information will be made regarding National Team Trials when available.
