COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., USA Synchro was proud to host over 100 athletes and coaches at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center on October 18-20.
This is a unique experience built for athletes and coaches to learn from their peers at the top of the sport. The camp focused on six different areas: Training for height, flexibility and core strength, figures and tech elements, routine performance, identification and training for flyers, nutrition and building self-awareness and teamwork.
“Our goal for these camps is to send the coaches and athletes home full of new knowledge and inspired for the upcoming season,” Shari Darst, USA Synchro Education Director said. “Being able to meet and reconnect with other outside of a competitive environment is also one of the things that participants always treasure.”
This camp was built to give everyone who participated a competitive edge in the water or on the deck. Darst said this year was even more special by having the National Team Coaches and Senior National Team attend as presenters.
“Being able to learn and interact with them was definitely a highlight of the weekend,” Darst said. “We had the largest attendance for both Coaches College and All-Star Camp that we have had in many years which added to the excitement. I must thank the USA Synchro Foundation for the support of these very successful events.”
