Riverside To Host UANA Pan American Championships

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Synchronized swimmers from four U.S. national teams and other programs across the country are set to compete at the UANA Pan American Artistic Swimming Championships Aug. 6-11 in Riverside, Calif.

USA Synchro is the host of the championships with support of the Riverside Aquettes and the Riverside Convention and Visitors Bureau/ Riverside Sports Commission.

Swimmers will compete in four age divisions (Senior, Junior, 13-15 and 12 & Under) at the Riverside Aquatics Complex.

Competing for Team USA in the senior division will members of the U.S. National Team: Grace Alwan (Andover, Mass.), Paige Areizaga (Palm Coast, Fla.), Yara Elian (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Nicole Goot (San Jose, Calif.), Hannah Heffernan (Las Vegas, Nev.), Cassandra Neeley (Williamsville, N.Y.), Daniella Ramirez (Miami, Fla.), Ruby Remati (Andover, Mass.), Abby Remmers (Sugar Land, Texas), Lindi Schroeder (Andover, Mass.) and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian (New Canaan, Conn.).

The U.S. National Team is back in action after competing at the FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships in Budapest.

"The girls looked good and we received a lot of very nice comments from different judges," U.S. National Team Coach Lollo Montico said. "They handled our training camp in Italy and Worlds with professionalism and dedication. I'm a proud coach."

U.S. swimmers competing in the junior division will be: Noelle Song, Aivan Nguyen and Elizaveta Polyakova of the La Mirada Aquabelles, Maya Kusnecov of the Nevada Desert Mermaids, and Natalie Lagrone and Reverie Nedde of the U.S.

Competing for the Team USA in the 13-15 division will be: Miko Begossi, Yujin Chang, Emily Ding, Marlena King, Olivia Li, Chiara Steele, Megan Tappe, Gabriella Terry, Ashlyn Wang and Marilyn Weaver. Members of the Ohio Elite Team also will compete: Mairin Pema, Carissa Schroeder, Talia Lopresti, Lilly Ortiz, Madi Almond, Katie Price, Madeline Ehrhardt and Allison Burns. La Mirada will have two preswimmers in figures: Nicole Chung and Calista Liu.

Competing for Team USA in the 12U division will be: Gianna Bonacorso, Perry Daniel, Elizabeth Fullen, Jennah Hafsi, Audrey Kwon, Viola Li, Elle Santana, Aubrey Shen, Nathalia Valdez and Lillian Weber. La Mirada also will have two swimmers, Clarise Loi and Lera Polyakova.
