BUDAPEST – The U.S. Junior National Team, fresh off a training camp in Italy, will compete at the FINA World Junior Championships this week in Budapest, Hungary.
The Opening Ceremony is Wednesday, and Team USA will begin its competition on Thursday in duet free and duet tech. Ruby Remati (Andover, Mass.) will compete in both duet events; her partner in duet free will be Yara Elian (Walnut Creek, Calif.), and she will team up with Nicole Goot (San Jose, Calif.) in duet tech.
The U.S. will also compete in the team free, team tech and combo events. The team most recently won bronze medals in team free and combo at the Synchro America Open last month in La Mirada, Calif.
The U.S. Junior National Team includes Grace Alwan (Andover, Mass.), Paige Areizaga (Palm Coast, Fla.), Yara Elian (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Nicole Goot (San Jose, Calif.), Hannah Heffernan (Las Vegas, Nev.), Cassandra Neeley (Williamsville, N.Y.), Daniella Ramirez (Miami, Fla.), Ruby Remati (Andover, Mass.), Abby Remmers (Sugar Land, Texas) and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian (New Canaan, Conn.).
