LEWISVILLE, Texas – The top young synchronized swimmers in the country will vie for titles and spots on national teams when the U.S. Junior and 13-15 National Championships & Age Group National Team Trials begin April 11.
The U.S. Junior and 13-15 National Championships will take place April 11-15 at the Westside Aquatics Center in Lewisville, Texas. Swimmers will contest for titles in solo, duet, team and combo.
“We are looking forward to a great meet in Lewisville. This is the first time in a long time that we are having a national meet in Texas,” said Myriam Glez, USA Synchro’s Executive Director and High Performance Director. “The facility is fantastic as are the team of volunteers from the Pirouettes of Texas. This should be a great meet. For the first time, the junior athletes will perform technical routines instead of figures, and we look forward to seeing their creations.”
USA Synchro also will hold Phase 3 Trials for the U.S. 13-15 and 12 & Under National Synchronized Swimming Teams. The athletes are vying for up to 12 spots on each team. Seventeen swimmers are advancing to the Phase 3 Trials for the 12U team, while 33 qualified for Phase 3 Trials for the 13-15 team.
The 12U trials will be on April 11, followed by the 13-15 trials on April 15.
