USA Synchro Names Junior National Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Synchro announced its 2016 U.S. Junior National Synchronized Swimming Teams on Monday following the final stage of trials in Lafayette, Calif.

The athletes earning a spot on the 2016 U.S. Junior National Team 1 are:

  • Jacklyn Luu (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Caitlin Klauer (Optima Synchro)
  • Lindi Schroeder (Optima Synchro)
  • Rachel Lau (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Nicole Dzurko (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Rachel Ye (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Victoria Woroniecki (Unaffiliated)
  • Lily Randhawa (Walnut Creek Aquanuts)
  • Natalia Vega (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Camryn Carrasco (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Daria Torba (Walnut Creek Aquanuts)
  • Rachel Jager (Walnut Creek Aquanuts)

The athletes earning a spot on the 2016 U.S. Junior National Team 2 are:

  • Grace Alwan (ANA Andover)
  • Karen Li (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Nicola Schmidt (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Louisa Strutynski (Unaffiliated)
  • Alexandra Poteet (New Canaan)
  • Sabrina Walsh (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Alexandra McGee (Tonawanda Aquettes)
  • Emily Lu (Santa Clara Aquamaids)
  • Natalie Fletcher (Walnut Creek Aquanuts)
  • Renee Stehlik (Walnut Creek Aquanuts)

Emily Anger and Celine Joo are the two approved petitioners.

The U.S. Junior National Team 1 will compete at the FINA Junior World Championships, while the Junior National Team 2 will take part in the Age Group Pan American Championships.
