Final Day of 2015 US Championships in Salt Lake City

Jan. 18, 2015, 4 p.m. (ET)

The 2015 US Short Track Championships have come to an end at the Utah Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City.

After her victories in yesterday’s 1500m and 500m races, Olympian Jessica Smith (Detroit, MI) continued to dominate today, winning both the 1000m and 3000m distances.

“It's exciting to be the U.S. Short track National Champion,” said Smith. “Winning all four distances this weekend gives me the confidence going forward into the last World Cup and world championships of the season.”

After finishing second in three distances over the weekend, Kimberly Goetz (Flemington, NJ) took home the silver medal, while Alexis Burkholder (Pittsburgh, PA) took bronze.

“I didn’t really know where I stood, so I was happy to do so well in the races,” said Burkholder.

Brothers John-Henry and Cole Krueger (both of Pittsburgh, PA) took first and third place respectively, while teammate Keith Carroll Jr. (West Chester, PA) finished in third.

“I entered this weekend really confident in my abilities and felt more than ready to race,” remarked US Champion John-Henry Krueger. “I'm excited to participate in the upcoming World Cups and hopefully win more medals.”
