Green Mountain Speed Skating ClubThe Green Mountain Speedskating Club began in the 1970s. Its mission was to develop and introduce beginner skaters to a recreational and competitive level. The club practices at Spartan Arena and Lake Placid at various times. Several club skaters have gone on to medal in short track and long track events. Short track takes place on hockey rinks, while long track on a 400 meter oval. The Green Mountain Club has produced National Championships on long track. |
