This event will serve as qualifying event for selecting the US Short Track World Cup Team.
The event is open to international participation and is limited to 60 participants per gender.
Competition Format: All Finals - Elimination
Entry Deadline:
September 13th at 5pm MT
Late entries accepted until September 18th 5pm MT. A $100 late entry fee charge will apply
Preliminary Schedule:
Friday: 1500m #1 & 500m #1 – Qualifying Rounds and Finals
Saturday: 1000m #1 & 1500m #2 – Qualifying Rounds and Finals
Sunday: 500m #2 & 1000m #2 – Qualifying Rounds and Finals
Coaches Meeting:
Thursday: TBA
A Zoom link will be sent to all eligible coaches named by their athletes during the registration process.
Official Training:
Official Training is available complimentary on
Thursday, Sept. 22nd: 2:45pm – 3:30pm and 3:45pm to 4:30pm – north ice sheet

COVID-19 Protocol:
USS currently does not have any COVID entry protocols for USS events. We ask athletes and coaches to monitor themselves for any potential symptoms in the 14 days prior to start of event.
All participants who are experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should not travel to the venue and should immediately go to a healthcare facility for evaluation.
USS will continuously monitor any developments and if needed implement appropriate protocols. By registering for this event all participants agree to follow the USS COVID-19 protocols in place.
Eligibility:
· 13 years of age before July 1st 2022
· Eligible to represent the US at international competition
· or be a member of a foreign NGB if you are not skating as USS member
· 40 spots will be reserved for US skaters based on seed times
· Relay participation is mandatory
Qualifying Time Standard:
Women: 49.000
Men: 46.500
*times have to be achieved between July 1, 2021 and entry deadline in a USS, ISU or other NGB sanctioned race
Athlete Check-In:
All athletes are required to pick up their helmet cover and transponders either in person or via a designated individual on Thursday, September 22nd between 2pm and 4pm at the Utah Olympic Oval Timing Deck.
No deposit will be required.
Not returned transponders will be charged to the skater at $100/unit
Not returned helmet covers will be charged to the skater at $20/cover
