The Capital City Speedskating Championships will be conducted as an Ability Meet. In this format, all skaters will be grouped by ability for racing based on times and age provided on their entry form. All times, rankings, and awards will only be determined within each ability group.   Most skaters should anticipate participating in six races.  Points will be awarded within an ability group based on lowest finals time in a distance.  If multiple skaters have the same cumulative number of points after racing is concluded ties will be broken by the better finish of the first distance skated for the ability group.  Awards will be presented for each ability group and distance raced. A skater must race all distances for an overall award, unless medical reason.  Helmet covers will be issued.  Relays will be held at end of meet, time permitting.
