Event will be conducted as an All Finals-Elimination format.

Only named coaches by participating athletes will be allowed in the coaches box. Coaches will have to take & submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72h of competition.

COVID-19 ENTRY PROTOCOLS

Non-Vaccinated or only partially vaccinated Athletes:

·       4-6 days prior start of event PCR test #1. This test is conducted on your own at your own selected location. Please note it will have to be a PCR test - NOT a rapid test. Result HAS TO BE SUBMITTED TO adoduc@usspeedskating.org before Tuesday, September 14th.

·       maximum of 72h prior to start of event PCR test #2. This test will be facilitated and provided by USS. Cost is included in your registration fee. 

 

Fully Vaccinated Athletes:

·       maximum of 72h prior to start of event PCR test #1. This test will be facilitated and provided by USS. Cost is included in your registration fee.



A negative test is needed to join any high performance ice sessions or official practice session.


All participants should plan to arrive in Salt Lake City so they can test on 9/14/21 at 8am MT (72h prior first day of competition). Arriving on site in SLC 72h before the 1st day of competition will assist any person who tests positive for COVID-19, or who has an inconclusive test result, with the process  of obtaining follow up testing in order to possibly receive a negative result and be cleared for competition. 

All participants who are experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should not travel to the venue and should immediately go to a healthcare facility for evaluation.

Athlete and coach participants are strongly encouraged to limit themselves to essential activities (e.g. competition, training, dryland etc.) in the 10-14 days immediately preceding the 1st day of competition. All participants are strongly encouraged to avoid community activities (e.g. eating at restaurants, going to movies or bars, working out in health clubs, and other similar type public gatherings/activities) in the 10-14 days prior to first day of competition. and continuing until after completion of competition.

While in SLC, participants are strongly encouraged to continue to minimize community activities and to make every effort to stay in their own hotel room or only stay with people with whom they regularly have close sustained contact and/or close physical contact. Participants are also strongly advised to avoid close sustained contact and/or close physical contact with spectators or others that are not within the participant grouping, in particular with those people who are visiting restaurants, bars, health clubs, etc while in SLC.

Please submit proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your Vaccination Card no later than September 7th to adoduc@usspeedskating.org. Proof can be submitted via online copy of card.

 

USS Conducted Testing will take place on Tuesday, September 14th at 8am MT at the Utah Olympic Oval. 

If you are unable to attend the 14th testing due to travel arrangements please contact adoduc@usspeedskating.org to schedule for either September 15th or 16th 8am MT.
