USS Junior Development Camp

The US Speedskating DEVO camp is designed for athletes with some skating experience but are now starting to target successful races at the U.S. Junior Championships. This camp is conducted yearly in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Camp topics often include technique, motor learning, mental fortitude training, physiology, peaking and equipment. The camp is designed to be a team bonding experience while also providing information related to improving performance!

Camp Cost:$225 (Deadline September 29th / includes a t-shirt) – Late registration $250

Ages:Junior C (13) through Neo Senior (23 on June 30th, 2021)

MKE Junior Devo COVID Entry Protocols
All Participants (vaccinated & unvaccinated) will be required to submit a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the start of the camp (on or after Tuesday, September 28th).  All PCR results should be sent to scarroll@usspeedskating.org
*Athletes that are unvaccinated and travel by plane may be subject to additional testing during the camp.

 

All participant will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the camp.
All participants who are experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should not travel to the venue and should immediately go to a healthcare facility for evaluation.
Participants are strongly encouraged to limit themselves to essential activities (e.g. competition, training, dryland etc.) in the 10-14 days immediately preceding the 1st day of the camp. All participants are strongly encouraged to avoid community activities (e.g. eating at restaurants, going to movies or bars, working out in health clubs, and other similar type public gatherings/activities) in the 10-14 days prior to first day of the camp. and continuing until after completion of the camp
.
While in MKE, participants are strongly encouraged to continue to minimize community activities and to make every effort to stay in their own hotel room or only stay with people with whom they regularly have close sustained contact and/or close physical contact. Participants are also strongly advised to avoid close sustained contact and/or close physical contact with spectators or others that are not within the participant grouping, in particular with those people who are visiting restaurants, bars, health clubs, etc while in MKE.
