US Junior Championships Long Track

This event will serve as the qualifying event for the 2021 ISU Junior World Championships

Applicable COVID-19 Protocol for Participation

 

If you arrive via air:

Option A)

Test before your departure; needs to be within 72h of your departure

If test is negative —> step on plane and arrivenolater than January 16th

If test is positive —> do not fly, cancel your registration

Once on site

You can utilize the following sessions (check with Pettit on times and pricing)

Test a 2nd time on January 21st (fees are included in your registration)

Official Training session on Jan 22nd is free of charge

If second test is negative you are cleared to race

 

Option B)

Arrive no later than January 16th

You can utilize the following sessions (check with Pettit on times and pricing)

Test 1st time on January 20th(fees are included in your registration)

Test 2nd time on January 21st (fees are to be paid to USS)

Official Training session on Jan 22nd is free of charge

If second test is negative you are cleared to race

 

COVID Tests will be provided by Froedert Hospital and will be conducted at the Pettit. Cost per tests is $100. One test is included in your registration fee. 2nd test (if needed) has to be paid on site. Results are guaranteed to be back before racing starts on the 23rd.

Drive:

If you are within an 8h driving distance 

Test at home (within 72h of your departure)

If positive —> stay home, we refund registration

If negative —> drive

Arrive in MKE so you can take part in one of the following testings

If you are further than an 8h drive, protocol for Air Travel applies

 

Previous Positive Test:

If youtested positive within the last 90 days (since October 25)

Please be prepared to present your positive test result as well as a physician clearance

You will not need to test prior to competitions unless you have COVID symptoms. Contact Marion for discount code.

 

Registration of $199 will include one test conducted through Froedert Hospital at the above mentioned dates and time frames

In the 2 weeks leading up to competition, all participants should restrict any high risk activities (for example: eating at restaurants, cafes or bars).

 

NOTE: If you are a coach you can conduct one COVID-19 test on site, on either January 20th or 21st. Please get in touch with Matt Kooreman at mkooreman@usspeedskating.org
