Garden State 2020 ST Development Camps

Date: August 1 - August 12, 2020

Location: Bridgewater Sports Arena, Bridgewater, NJ, USA

The GSS Camps now in its 7th year hosts its 12th camp in Summer 2020. The two-week training programs (Aug 1 –Aug 5; Aug 8 – 12;) will incorporate the latest instruction in strength & condition development, short track technique, and racing. Skaters may choose to participate in one week or two weeks or limited daily drop-ins. Come train with your current and future competitors from both US and overseas, all under GSS’s world class camp coaching team.

Rink Procedures:

·       We will be using one entry door(front) and one exit door to limit interactions with timed entry and exit.

·       All Skaters and ONE chaperon may enter the building 15 minutes before their scheduled ice time and must exit promptly, children not skating are not permitted.

·       All people entering building will have temperature checks/screening. 

·       All skaters and chaperon must exit the building via the EXIT 15 minutes after the ice session.

·       Speed skating parents may enter the building 15 minutes before their ice time to set up safety pads, exit the building, return at end of the session to remove the pads. Must wear facial masks when inside the rink.

·       Currently locker rooms are not being used, skaters sit in designated areas to change skates. 

·       No inside dryland prior to skating.

·       No outside food or drink except skater water bottle.

·       All customers (over the age of 2) must wear masks when entering the building and they must remain on until they enter the ice; please refrain from bringing anyone/children not participating.

·       Bring your own water bottle PREFILLED please. No Sharing!

·       Be mindful of all signage in the rink.  Especially regarding bench behaviors (IE NO spitting allowed etc.).

·       Showers and bathrooms in locker room area are closed until further notice.

·       If you become sick with Covid related symptoms, you are required to self-quarantine for 2 weeks until cleared by a doctor. Please notify the rink and team managers or team leader. 

·       The staff will be trained for regular and thorough cleaning of all public areas and disinfecting protocol.

·       Please maintain social distancing while on the ice and it is not your turn to skate.

·       While on the ice, skaters are not required to wear a mask but many children have soft cotton masks that are comfortable to wear while skating.

·       Coaches must wear masks all times.
