Penn State Ability Athletics Program - Paralympic Sport University Park

Penn State University, 103 Bryce Jordan Center
University Park, Pennsylvania 16802

Club Description

Penn State University's Ability Athletics program has become Paralympic Sport University Park to allow other persons with physical disabilities to enjoy the same benefit of use of Penn State facilities in an outreach program to all disabled in the community. We offer open gyms for wheelchair basketball on Wednesday night. We compete in powerlifting , track & field and cycling in national and international circles. We offer help in teaching others to swim and lift weights to special populations in the community. We help our wounded warriors and work to teach teachers how to start programs in their communities. We have started an adaptive club which gives Penn Staters and friends a way of learning and playing new sports and bringing in diversity speakers to the community and university.
