Which Of These Team USA Athletes' Performances Impressed You Most In May? Vote Now

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic Committee today announced finalists for the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of April, which recognize the outstanding achievements of Team USA athletes from last month. Fans are invited to vote for their favorite athletes and teams at TeamUSA.org/Awards through midnight Monday, May 6.

A total of 10 sports – including curling, figure skating, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, Para swimming, Para track and field, surfing, weightlifting and wrestling – are represented among the 13 finalists across men’s, women’s and team categories. The finalists’ collective accomplishments tell the inspiring story of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes year-round. 

 

Female:

Katie Courtney, Cycling
Won short-track and cross-country at the world cup in Albstadt, Germany, and claimed victory in cross-country at the world cup in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic. Click here to vote for Courtney.

 

Shawn Morelli, Para-cycling
Won gold medals in WC4 time trial and road race at the world cup in Corridonia, Italy, and repeated as champion in each event at the world cup in Ostend, Belgium. Click here to vote for Morelli.

 

Kim Rhode, Shooting
Won her fourth straight world cup gold medal in skeet at the world cup event in Changwon, South Korea, becoming the first shotgun athlete – male or female – to win four world cup gold medals in a row. Click here to vote for Rhode.

 

Allysa Seely, Paratriathlon

Captured gold at the world series in Yokohama, Japan – her sixth consecutive world series win in the PTS2 classification – making her undefeated since the same event last year. Click here to vote for Seely.

 

Katie Zaferes, Triathlon

Secured her third consecutive world series gold medal in Yokohama, Japan, remaining undefeated on the season and claiming the No. 1 spot in the world series rankings. Click here to vote for Zaferes.

 

Male:

Ryan Boyle, Para-cycling
Claimed the gold medal in the MT2 road race and a silver in the MT2 time trial at the world cup in Corridonia, Italy, followed by gold medals in the same events at the world cup in Ostend, Belgium. Click here to vote for Boyle.

 

Eli Dershwitz, Fencing

Earned the silver medal at the grand prix in Moscow, securing the No. 1 world ranking in men’s saber. Click here to vote for Dershwitz. 

 

Brady Ellison, Archery

Won the bronze medal in recurve at the world cup in Shanghai, as well as the gold in recurve and a bronze in team recurve at the world cup in Antalya, Turkey.Click here to vote for Ellison.

 

Brooks Koepka, Golf

Won the PGA Championship in Farmingdale, New York, becoming the first golfer to win back-to-back titles at both the U.S. Open and PGA Championship in history.. Click here to vote for Koepka.

 

Daniel Romanchuk, Para Track and Field

Kerri Walsh Jennings and Brooke Sweat, Beach Volleyball

U.S. Men's Foil Team, Fencing
