Team USA returns to the world cup circuit after winning seven medals at the World Para Snowboard Championships in Pyha, Finland last week. The small delegation of U.S. athletes includes world champions Noah Elliott and Keith Gabel, who will aim to close out their season in strong form. Snowboarders will contest banked slalom and snowboardcross in Sweden from April 4-8 with an off and training day April 5 and 6, respectively.

Thursday, April 4 - Banked Slalom

Noah Elliott returns to the top of the podium with world cup win in banked slalom

After winning his first world title last week, Noah Elliott kept the momentum going at the final world cup in Klövsjö,Sweden, claiming the men's LL1 gold medal for banked slalom. He crossed the finish line over a second-and-a-half ahead of Dutchman Chris Vos to be victorious in the last banked slalom race of the year. Keith Gabel and Zach Miller also reached the podium in Sweden with silver and bronze, respectively, in the men's LL2 class.

Monday, April 8 - Snowboardcross

Team USA wraps up world cup competition with two snowboardcross medals

After snowboardcross competition was rescheduled from Sunday, U.S. snowboarders finished the world cup circuit on a high note, winning three medals to close out races at the World Para Snowboard World Cup Finals on Monday, April 8. Team USA's Zach Miller and Keith Gabel went 2-3 in the men's LL2 class four-man race to cap off a strong season that included world championship medals just over a week ago in Pyha, Finland. Gabel picked up another silver in the second snowboardcross race. Garrett Geros and Alex Rivera took home top-10 finishes in the same class with fifth and sixth place finishes, respectively.

Team USA put the finishing touches on the 2018-19 World Para Snowboard world cup season, winning 32 medals over the course of the year. Keith Gabel led the U.S. with nine medals, including medals at the world cup finals this week in Klövsjö, Sweden. Brenna Huckaby took home a share of the world cup season title in the women's LL1 banked slalom with France's Cecile Hernandez. In addition to world cup success, Team USA also had a strong showing at this year's World Para Snowboard Championships, the first major championship since the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. In Pyha, the U.S. won seven medals and crowned three new world champions: Mike Schultz, Noah Elliott and Keith Gabel.
