Para-cyclists Earn Criterium National Titles in Wisconsin

Will Groulx claimed the criterium national title in the H1-2 class at the national championships on June 23.

GRAFTON, Wis. - At the 2018 USA Cycling Para-cycling Criterium National Championships in Grafton, Wisconsin, Will Groulx (Portland, Oregon - H2) claimed the criterium national title in the H1-2 class, while David Randall (Bradenton, Florida - H3) placed first in the H3-5 classification.

In conjunction with Tour of America’s Dairyland, nearly 20 Para-cyclists raced for the national titles on a .85-mile criterium for 35 minutes.

Just last week, Groulx came out on top with a sweep of the road race and time trial national titles, as well as a first-place finish in the handcycle relay, while Randall won the national title in the road race.

The next event on the U.S. Paralympics Cycling calendar is the second UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup in Emmen, Netherlands, from July 6-8. Team USA will then compete at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Maniago, Italy, from Aug. 2-5, followed by the third world cup stop in Baie-Comeau, Quebec, from Aug. 15-19.
