Evan Strong comes off a successful 2016-17 season that produced the first overall world cup globe of his career.

The countdown to PyeongChang 2018 is underway with the official start of the 2017-18 World Para Snowboard world cup season on Saturday in Treble Cone, New Zealand. Despite the distance from the U.S., Team USA is bringing the largest contingent with 17 athletes set to compete for the first medals of the circuit. Nearly 50 athletes from 10 different countries will compete in back-to-back banked slalom races in the same day to kick off the season that ends with the Paralympic Winter Games in South Korea.
