U.S. Paralympics Names Team for 2017 World Para Powerlifting Championships

 Jacob Schrom will represent Team USA in Mexico City from Sept. 30-Oct.6.

U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, today announced its roster of 10 U.S. athletes who will represent Team USA at the 2017 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Mexico City from Sept. 30-Oct. 6.

More than 350 powerlifters from 65 countries will gather in the Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium for the Mexico City 2017 Para Sport Festival, which coincides with the World Para Swimming Championships.
It will be the first major competition after the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, and the start of the new Paralympic cycle for Tokyo 2020.
