KONTIOLAHTI, Finland (March 6, 2015) - After Thursday's opening day of competition featuring the mixed relay, competitors enjoyed a rest day on Friday, but the action heats back up this weekend in Kontiolahti, Finland, at the 2015 IBU World Championships presented by BMW. The men's and women's sprints take center stage on Saturday, followed by the men's and women's pursuit races on Sunday.
Team USA will be represented in the men's sprint by Tim Burke (Paul Smiths, N.Y.), Leif Nordgren (Marine, Minn.), Lowell Bailey (Lake Placid, N.Y.) and Sean Doherty (Center Conway, N.H.). A full start list for the men's 10k sprint can be found here.
In the women's 7.5k sprint, Susan Dunklee (Barton, Vt.), Annelies Cook (Saranac Lake, N.Y.), Hannah Dreissigacker (Morrisville, Vt.) and Clare Egan (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) will be racing for the U.S. Full women's start list is available here.
