Podium Finishes:

Baseball – Women's (1 Gold)

The U.S. women's team defeated Canada, 11-3, in the final to take home the inaugural women’s Pan American Games baseball gold medal. The U.S. women finished the tournament with a 5-0 record.  

Racquetball (2 Silvers)

The U.S. garnered silver medals in both the women’s and men's racquetball team competitions. The women's squad – made up of Rhonda Rajsich, Michelle Key and Kim Russell-Waselenchuk – fell to Mexico, 2-0, while the men's squad – including Jansen Allen, Jake Bredenbeck, Rocky Carson and José Rojas – fell to Mexico, 2-0, in the gold-medal matches. 

Softball – Women's (1 Silver)

The U.S. women’s softball team claimed the silver medal after falling to Canada, 4-2, in the gold-medal game. The U.S. women finished the tournament with a 6-1 record. 


Other Results:

Track and Field

U.S. athlete John Nunn did not finish the men's 50-kilometer walk, while athletes from Ecuador, Guatemala and Mexico earned podium spots. The 50K walk marked the final event of Pan American Games track and field competition.
