Robin Roberts and I had birthday cake together! Thanks Good Morning America!

The fam came to visit me! Backstage at GMA on my 21st birthday.

I was surprised with a visit to the Paul Mitchell Raika Studio as a gift from my sponsor Paul Mitchell. We had champagne and cupcakes. It was so fun!

After I got home from Russia, I celebrated my 21st birthday in New York City while doing media. It was an extra special treat because my sister, my sister-in-law and my adorable two-year-old niece came to see me for the day! After doing all kinds of fun media events in New York City and shopping I was pooped. By the way, my favorite media stop was at “Crowd Goes Wild.” The hosts had me do a spelling bee and a wrong answer gets a pie (or piesss) to the face! Well, I will let you in on a little secret (not so little anymore I guess!) — I am a terrible speller. The first word I had to spell was ‘Peru.’ Everyone thought I was acting, but I was nervous and had to think about it for a minute! Luckily I got ‘Peru’ correct…it was all downhill from there. If you need a good laugh see for yourself: Crowd Goes Wild.

Upon returning home I got all these fun invites to go to Los Angeles for Oscar parties. So I booked a flight at 6 p.m. and flew out first thing the next morning! Now you guys, keep in mind, the Oscars are all about glamour and fashion. Neither of which do I claim are my strong suit. It was so much fun! First I went to see my buddy Pete Holmes for his show and then onward to more fun! My favorite part of the LA trip was getting to attend the InStyle Oscar red carpet party. The food was delicious; I had my hair and makeup done and David Yurman was kind enough to lend me some beautiful jewelry for the evening as well! It was pretty fun to meet Ben Affleck and ladies…he is as hunky as he seems!

After my LA trip I had a solid week at home in Park City and then I went back to West Dover, Vt., and to my home resort Mount Snow. It was so nice to come back to Vermont. I hadn’t been there for a while because of my demanding training schedule for the Olympics and it was the best time ever! I got to visit my childhood schools and speak to all the cool kids there, ski at Mount Snow, hang with my mom at her candle shop and see lots of friends. The town of West Dover and Mount Snow teamed up for “Devin Day” — yeah they gave me my own day! Can you believe that?! They hosted a parade for me; I got to meet some really nice people and take photos with them. It’s really fun to meet all the kids that are just getting into skiing and I hope that I can be a positive role model for them. A huge surprise for me was that Mount Snow changed the name of their resort to “Mount Logan” for the day! Everything from their website to social media feeds were all Mount Logan, and they even named a burger after me! I felt so special and then they gave me a lifetime pass! It meant so much to me to come home to my skiing roots and have so much support, from the town to the resort and all my friends. I share my hometown with Kelly Clark and she is someone I look up to, and it is my hope that I will follow in her footsteps and that this is the beginning of a very long career for me. It’s my goal to get further involved with youth and youth in sports; I know how hard it can be to have a goal and have to get yourself there financially. It’s really important that anyone that has a goal should never let anything stand in your way. If you are true to yourself and you work hard and be nice to people, anything is possible.

Next up I head to The North Face for our annual Athlete Summit, then the White House (to meet the president!) and then onward to Las Vegas for my “official” 21st Birthday Party! Stay tuned…

In L.A. I loved my jewelry... and my hair and my makeup... even my dress!

Pete Holmes and I had so much fun. He is hilarious!
Got to meet bobsled bronze medalist Aja Evans at Elton John's party in L.A., she is a badass!
