5280 Challenge Games is a one-day Track and Field competition for USATF Masters and individuals with physical or visual disabilities.

City of Colorado Springs Therapeutic Recreation Program

The mission of the Therapeutic Recreation Program is to provide opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities to acquire skills that enable them to participate in leisure experiences of their choice and enhance their abilities to function within a community setting. The TR staff also provides advocacy and support for individuals with disabilities to participate in general recreation activities, as well as specialized therapeutic activities that include opportunities in health/wellness, outdoor adventure, arts, social stimulation and use of community resources.

The Adaptive Recreation Opportunities (ARO) program provides community members with disabilities opportunities to participate in quality community recreation programs. ARO strives to ensure that people with disabilities have the necessary support, adaptive equipment and experienced staff to participate in recreation and leisure activities of their choice through three basic service areas; adaptive programs, inclusion support and transition services.
