Abilities Unlimited of the Carolinas, Inc.Abilities Unlimited of the Carolinas, Inc, (AUCarolinas), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in June 2005 by three fathers of physically disabled children in the greater Charlotte, NC area. The mission of AUCarolinas is to create, develop and energize the human spirit for those individuals with physical disabilities through adaptive activities and enhancements in their able-bodied environment. AUCarolinas is the primary sponsor for three programs for physically disabled youth and adults that compete regionally and nationally in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair softball, wheelchair track, field, archery, powerlifting and swimming. |

The Sports & Fitness Center offers a wide variety of amenities to help people with all types of disabilities achieve their health, fitness, recreational, and sport goals. Access2AdventureAccess2adventure (a2a) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for people with physical disabilities. We provide unique opportunities to participate in a variety of sports, recreational activities and adventure travel. A2a is based in Rhode Island and serves the southern New England community. Access2adventure is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2004. access2adventure is the only Rhode Island Chapter of Disabled Sports USA. DS/USA is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1967 by disabled Vietnam veterans to serve the war injured. DS/USA now offers nationwide sports rehabilitation programs to anyone with a permanent physical disability. |
