The Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games were a Games of figure skating firsts for the U.S. team. The first-ever Olympic figure skating team event was held - where a team of eight U.S. skaters earned bronze - and Meryl Davis and Charlie White earned the U.S. its first ice dance gold medal. All 15 U.S. skaters who competed in Sochi finished in the top-15 of their event, with all three ice dance teams and all three ladies finishing in the top 10 (highlighted by Davis and White's win and Gracie Gold's fourth place).
