Basketball (1 gold)
The U.S. women's basketball team won its sixth consecutive Olympic gold medal with a 101-72 victory over Spain. Diana Taurasi and Lindsay Whalen each scored 17 points to lead the U.S., receiving support from Maya Moore's 14 points. The U.S. women now have won seven of the last eight Olympic basketball gold medals, missing out only at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. The trio of Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings and Taurasi become the fifth, sixth and seventh women to win four consecutive gold medals in the same Olympic team event. MORE

Boxing (1 silver)
Shakur Stevenson won a silver medal in men’s bantamweight (56 kg.) with a 2-1, split-decision loss against Cuba’s Robeisy Ramirez. His silver is the best finish by a U.S. men’s boxer since Andre Ward won gold at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Stevenson received a favorable score from only one of the three judges: 28-29, 28-29 and 29-28. MORE

Diving (1 bronze)
David Boudia won the bronze medal in men's 10-meter platform diving. The gold medalist in the event four years ago, Boudia compiled a total score of 525.25. With his medals in back-to-back Olympic Games, Boudia is the first American to earn consecutive medals in the event since Greg Louganis won gold in 1984 and 1988. MORE

Taekwondo (1 bronze)
Jackie Galloway won a bronze medal in the +67 kg. division of women's taekwondo. Galloway scored a 2-1 decision against France's Gwladys Epangue in the bronze medal match, giving the U.S. its first Olympic medal in the division and fourth overall in women's taekwondo.

Track and Field (3 golds, 1 silver)
The U.S. women's team of Courtney Okolo, Natasha Hastings, Phyllis Francis and Allyson Felix won the gold medal in the women's 4x400. The Americans posted a time of 3:19.06, giving the U.S. the gold medal in the event for the sixth consecutive Olympic Games. With the gold, Felix now has six career Olympic gold medals and nine in total. MORE

The U.S. team of Arman Hall, Tony McQuay, Gil Roberts and LaShawn Merritt won the gold medal in the men's 4x400, posting a time of 2:57.30. The gold medal gives the U.S. a total of 31 track and field medals at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the highest total since the Americans won 31 in both 1952 and 1956. MORE

Matt Centrowitz won Olympic gold in the men's 1,500m run. With the win, he gives the U.S. its first 1,500m gold medal since Mel Sheppard won the race at the London 1908 Olympic Games. MORE

Paul Chelimo won the silver medal in the men's 5,000m run, ending a 52-year U.S. medal drought in the event. The last time an American received a medal in the 5,000m run was the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games.

Triathlon (1 gold)
Gwen Jorgensen won the Olympic gold medal in women's triathlon Saturday, completing the course in 1:56:16. She wins the first Olympic gold medal in triathlon for the U.S. MORE

Volleyball - Indoor (1 bronze)
The U.S. women's volleyball team won the bronze medal by defeating the Netherlands, 3-1. The bronze gives the American women a medal in three consecutive Olympic Games after winning silver in 2004 and 2008. MORE

Wrestling (1 bronze)
J'den Cox won the bronze medal in the 86 kg. division in men's wrestling competition. Cox scored a 3-1 decision over Cuba's Reineris Salas Perez in the bronze medal match.

Cycling - Mountain Biking
Lea Davison placed 7th in women's mountain biking competition, finishing with a time of 1:33:27. Teammate Chloe Woodruff finished in 1:36:17 for 23rd place.

Golf
Stacy Lewis tied two other women for 4th place as the inaugural Olympic women's golf tournament concluded Saturday afternoon. Lewis was 5 under par for the final round, finishing with a 9-under 275. Gerina Piller shot a 278 for the tournament, which tied her for 11th. Lexi Thompson tied for 19th with her score of 281.

Modern Pentathlon
Nathan Schrimsher finished 10th in men's modern pentathlon. His score of 1,450 was 29 points behind the Olympic record of 1,479 posted by Russia's Alexander Lesun. 

Rhythmic Gymnastics
The U.S. rhythmic group finished 14th during the qualification round. The team scored 13.908 in five ribbons and 16.316 in six clubs, two hoops for a total of 30.224.
