Nordic Skiing (2 gold, 1 silver)
U.S. biathletes made history as Kendall Gretsch and Dan Cnossen won gold in the women's 6-kilometer sitting and the men's 7.5-kilometer sitting, respectively. The medals are Team USA's first biathlon golds at an Olympic or Paralympic Games. Oksana Masters earned silver, marking Team USA's first Olympic or Paralympic biathlon medal of that color and the first time two U.S. biathletes shared an Olympic or Paralympic podium. MORE

Alpine Skiing (1 gold, 1 bronze)
Andrew Kurka brought home Team USA's first alpine gold medal in PyeongChang, taking the top spot in men's sitting downhill. Kurka stormed to an early lead and held off the rest of the field, besting runner-up Taiki Morii of Japan by more than a second and a half. Four-time Paralympian Laurie Stephens also brought home hardware, winning bronze in women's sitting downhill for her seventh Paralympic medal and fourth consecutive in the downhill. MORE

Wheelchair Curling
Skip Kirk Black and teammates Steve Emt, Justin Marshall and Penny Greely dropped their first Paralympic game to South Korea by a score of 7-3. The Koreans held a 2-1 lead before scoring four points in the fifth end to put the game out of reach. The U.S. scored two in the seventh end to inch closer but conceded the eighth end. MORE
