The Winter Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020 saw future Team USA stars compete in traditional events such as ice hockey and figure skating plus a number of newer events seen at an Olympic event for the first time including ski mountaineering and women's Nordic combined.

The U.S. team included 99 athletes competing in the Olympic capital of the world, who earned 11 medals, plus an additional three mixed-country medals. Highlights included Will Koch - son of 1976 Olympic medalist Bill Koch - and Kendall Kramer earning the country's first Youth Olympic cross-country skiing medals and freestyle skier Kiernan Fagan claiming two individual medals.
