Allyson Felix made history on Sept. 29 after claiming gold in the mixed 4x400-meter at the IAAF World Championships.
The USA Track & Field star claimed her 12th world championships gold medal, the most of any track and field athlete in history, including Jamaican legend Usain Bolt, who was tied with Felix at 11, prior to retiring from the sport in 2017.
Felix and U.S. teammates Michael Cherry, Wil London and Courtney Okolo finished with a world record time of 3:09.34 in the 4x400. This was the debut of the mixed relay at worlds, and the event makes its Olympic debut next year.
This was also the first worlds for Felix since giving birth to her daughter, Camryn, who was born in November 2018.
Stars like Reese Witherspoon, Gabrielle Union, Kerry Washington and more went to social media to share their congratulations and reactions on such an impressive feat by Felix.
