(L-R) Steven Langton, Brody Roybal, Curtis Tomasevicz, Rico Roman, Ben Thompson, Christopher Fogt, and Oksana Masters attend the 2019 Team USA Awards on Nov. 19, 2019 in Universal City, Calif.

Every week, Team USA athletes are making headlines with new records and podium finishes. Last week, Mikaela Shiffrin broke a 33-year record to become the new all-time winningest slalom skier. Plus, she won her fourth reindeer. Team USA swimmers attended the Golden Goggle Awards, the U.S. men’s soccer team is moving on to the Concacaf Nations League semifinals and much more. In case you missed any of it, here's a look at what we learned about Team USA last week.

It’s World Cup Season

1. What a legend. Mikaela Shiffrin is the new all-time winningest slalom skier after winning the world cup slalom opener on Saturday in Levi, Finland. Shiffrin broke the record held for nearly 33 years by Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark.

2. And on top of the win, Shiffrin earned herself a fourth reindeer and named it after a very special person. Everyone, meet Ingemar!

3. Joey Mantia is back! The two-time Olympian and two-time reigning world champion in the mass start came from behind to win his first world cup gold in three years.

4. Summer Britcher is back on her game, too! Britcher started off the luge world cup season right, taking home a silver medal in women’s singles.

5. No shocker here. Katie Zaferes is ranked No. 1 in the world after an incredible season.

Moving On

6. Semifinals here they come! The U.S. men's national soccer team beat Cuba 4-0 on Tuesday to secure its spot  in the next round of the Concacaf Nations League tournament in June.

Team USA Takes The Red Carpet

7. From Oksana Masters to Apolo Anton Ohno, some of your favorite athletes strutted their stuff on the red carpet prior to the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of the Year.

8. Jordan Burroughs = best host ever. Enough said.

9. All aboard the train to Hogwarts! What better way to celebrate an incredible night at Team USA Awards than going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

10. And we can’t forget USA Swimming’s 16th annual Golden Goggle Awards. The red carpet was full of star-studded swimmers like Simone Manuel, Caeleb Dressel and Missy Franklin!

Tokyo, Here We Come!

11. The countdown is on. We can’t wait to see some of our favorite athletes competing here in less than year.

12. Puppies and basketball stars. It doesn’t get any cuter than this!

13. We can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for Sunisa Lee.

14. Julie Ertz is definitely one of the coolest people we know.

15. Two of Team USA’s finest. One picture.
