14 Of The Most Exciting, Celebratory Photos Of Team USA's Sled Hockey World-Title Win

With a thrilling ending, the United States emerged victorious over Canada in the gold-medal game of the 2019 World Para Ice Hockey Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The last three world championships have ended with the two teams in the gold-medal game. This was also the seventh time the teams squared off this season.

Team USA reclaimed its world title with a 3-2 win in overtime. Two-time Paralympic gold medalist Brody Roybal scored the game-winner. This is the first time the U.S. has won the title since 2015. Prior to that, the U.S. won the title in 2009 and 2012.

Declan Farmer was named the U.S. Player of the Game for tying the game in the third period, sending the game into overtime. He was also named the Best Forward of the Tournament.

With the win, Team USA finishes the season with an overall record of 10-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L).
