Mikaela Shiffrin wins the globe for women's slalom at the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup on March 16, 2019 in Soldeu, Andorra.

Last week, Mikaela Shiffrin continued to make more and more (and more) history, Simone Biles competed in her first competition of 2019 and U.S. men's freestyle wrestlers took home the bronze over Japan at the world cup Russia. Also, soccer players Ashlyn Harris and Ali Kreiger announced their engagement and Julia Mancuso graced us with an amazing pregnancy reveal. With so much to catch up on, there's no time to waste! Let's review.

Embracing Change
1. Former U.S. Navy lieutenant and seven-time Paralympic medalist Brad Snyder is feeling comfortable in his new sport: paratriathlon. Snyder previously won his medals in swimming and decided to take on the new challenge one year ago. He recently finished third at the CAMTRI Paratriathlon America Championships.

2. Shooter Glenn Eller is a five-time Olympian in double trap, which was eliminated from the Olympic program after the Olympic Games Rio 2016. Now, he’s focusing on trap shooting. He grew up competing in both events and is now focused on mastering the intricacies that differentiate the two events.

3. We can predict the future.

You just won a medal in the first sport you see on this word search, whatcha got? 👀

4. Weightlifting is one of the sports that has changed its qualification process for the upcoming Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. One of the adjustments is that there will be seven weight categories for men as well as seven for women. Here’s everything you need to know about the qualification process for weightlifting in the upcoming Games.

5. Teammates for life. Soccer players Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger announced their engagement last week. Harris is currently training in preparation for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, while Krieger played her final national team match in 2017. The couple met while teammates on the squad that won the 2015 Women’s World Cup.

6. Memories that will last a lifetime.

7. Happy Birthday, Simone Biles! The gymnastics star turned 22 years old last week, and we celebrated with 22 of our favorite photos.

8. Biles celebrated her birthday the only way she knows how: with an all-around victory in her first competition of 2019.

9. Greatness recognizes greatness.

10. Gymnast Jade Carey keeps on rolling. Carey won two gold medals in two days this weekend, with wins in the vault and floor exercises. Tokyo 2020 on the mind, perhaps?

11. History = Made.

12. Unbelievable. Mikaela Shiffrin made history (again) this weekend when she tied the record for slalom wins in a single season. She took home the hardware thanks to a narrow victory by only .07 seconds. The next day, she won her first-ever giant slalom crystal globe. She became the first person, male or female, to win the titles in slalom, super-G, giant slalom and overall.

13. And then this picture gave us the feels.

14. After going 2-1 in group play, U.S. wrestlers went on to defeat Japan and claim a bronze medal in the men’s freestyle world cup in Yakutsk, Russia.

15. Olympic gold medalist and wonder woman Julia Mancuso announced she is pregnant via the best baby announcement photo in history (probably).

16. Past, present and future. We are proud and inspired by the women of Team USA.
