Here's What It Looked Like As The First 2 Athletes Qualified For The 2020 U.S. Olympic Team

Open water swimmers Haley Anderson and Ashley Twichell became the first two members of Team USA to punch their tickets to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 after both finishing in the top 10 of the women’s 10-kilometer race on Sunday at the 2019 FINA World Championships in Yeosu, South Korea.

Anderson earned the first 10K medal by a U.S. woman in world championships after finishing in second place behind Chinese swimmer Xin Xin with a time of 1 hour 54 minutes, 48.1 seconds. Twichell finished closely behind in sixth in 1:54:50.5.
